A word from -- Dr. Pauline Kafka

Dear Readers,

I thought I would share a few details that might help you get to know me and perhaps understand my writing perpective a bit better.

I am a psychologist, freelance writer, and entrepreneur living in Canada. I have been in the field of psychology, learning, researching, writing, practicing, and consulting for 23 years. Given my Doctorate in Psychology and Certificate in Marital & Family Therapy, I find I write quite a bit on topics in psychology, mental health, family, parenting, and relationships. Each of these represents an area of my expertise and a long-held interest.

I recently altered my career path to focus more on my writing. I have completed several professional writing courses and find that I thoroughly enjoy the entire writing process, from start to finish, on almost any topic.

It's safe to say that I spend most of my time on two activities that I love; my family and my writing businesses. I have a freelance writing business (InSite Publications) where clients can get top-notch text written specifically for their needs. I also have an on-line self-help website (The Insightful Mind) where I write, assign, and edit expert psychology articles meant to help readers build insight: This, I believe, is the basis for establishing healthy relationships and making good life choices. Both of these writing businesses are driven by my almost insatiable desires to advise, explain, communicate, and write.

My goal is to inform, interest, and inspire my readers. I hope you come believe that I succeed at each.

Best Regards,

Pauline Kafka Ph.D., Psychologist & Freelance Writer
